Here's what Prompt Porch keeps, why, and who helps us run it, in plain words.
What we keep
- To count your free prompts: a scrambled (“hashed”) version of your internet address and a small cookie. They let us keep the limit at 3 a day. Daily counts clear themselves after about a day.
- If you join Porch Plus: your email address and your Stripe customer number, so we know your plan is active and can send you a link to restore it.
- Your saved prompts: when a Plus member taps “Save to my library,” we store that goal, prompt, tip, and any title you add, linked to your plan, so you can find them again on any device. You can delete any of them anytime, and they are only shown to you.
- If you sign up for Porch Notes (our free letter): your email address and whether you've confirmed or unsubscribed. Every letter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- What you type: the goal you type is sent to xAI (the company behind Grok) to write your prompt. We don't save what you typed unless you choose to save it to your library. Otherwise we only keep simple counts, like how many prompts were made each day.
Who helps us
- Cloudflare hosts the site, stores your saved prompts, and gives us simple visitor counts, without ad tracking.
- xAI turns your goal into a prompt.
- Stripe handles payments. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us.
- Resend delivers our emails, like your plan-restore link and Porch Notes.
What we never do
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Your choices
You can clear your cookies anytime. If you'd like us to delete your email, plan details, or saved prompts, just write to us.
