Use AI to understand texting slang and emoji

"No cap," "fr," and a skull emoji can leave anyone puzzled. AI can tell you what they usually mean, so you can laugh along and reply.

Over the holidays, the family group chat gets busy. Then a grandchild writes "that's lowkey fire" or sends a skull emoji, and you're not sure if it's good news or bad. An AI chat can explain texting slang, short forms, and emoji in plain words, in seconds, with no one rolling their eyes.

Paste the message and ask

Copy just the part you don't understand, say who sent it, and ask what it probably means. Leave out last names and anything private.

Example: "My 16-year-old grandson texted me 'no cap, that pie was fire 💀'. What does this mean in plain words? Is it a good thing? Give me a short, friendly reply I could send back."

A few you'll see a lot

"LOL" means laughing out loud. "IDK" means I don't know. "FR" means for real, and "no cap" means no lie, I mean it. "Fire" means really good. A skull emoji usually means "that's so funny I'm dead," not anything scary. Meanings change fast, so when in doubt, ask AI, or just ask the sender.

Ask how your texts come across

Some messages can read differently to younger people. Paste your own text and ask, "How might a teenager read this?" AI can also help you write a reply that sounds warm and natural, without trying too hard.

Usually "that's so funny," as in "I'm dying laughing." It is rarely about anything sad or scary.
